I was very excited to see these! The professional photos from my sister's wedding, where I was lucky to be Matron of Honour.
It was such a difficult task looking through all the amazing photos and trying to pick out just a few to sum up such a fun day. I have picked a few that show off all the little bits and pieces I helped with to help make Melissa and Jason's day special.

I remember having a chat with Melissa to see if I could help her in any way and what ideas she had, she really liked the idea of a rainbow of colour...... Cue different ideas on flowers, but how to manage to get the same flowers but in such different colours. And that's where paper flowers came in, and I have to give credit to a very wonderful friend of mine(Alix) who taught me how to make these origami
Kusudama flowers a few years ago. I spent hours online looking for the perfect paper to match the colours and then more hours than I would like to admit folding petals before constructing up each flower and then each bouquet and finally making three smaller flowers to construct up boutonnieres for the groom and the grooms men.

Once the idea of the bouquets came into play it was pretty easy to roll with the theme for the rest of the little extras, the matching sashes for the bridesmaids dresses. Making up tutus for the flower girls with a rainbow layer of tulle(matching my sons bow tie to my outfit ;-P ). Figuring out how to get glitter to stick to the soles of our shoes.... And have it stay there!
Making up the jewellery for us to wear, the headbands we wore were originally going to be bracelets but a last minute change on the day(great idea Kayla!!!!) saw us wearing them as headbands instead and they worked brilliantly. I also made up some earrings and other bracelets using swarovski crystal beads and semi precious stones like jade and agate.
Finally in the week leading up to the big day it was time for nails. Everyone had a OPI Gelcolor mani with the corresponding colour.

I can honestly say I had a great time helping my sister out with her wedding, as I know from experience that when it comes to weddings  you need someone there to help think of the little things that often get overlooked. But I am also loving that I am not making any more origami flowers.... For a while at least ;-P
